Autofotive at Mecum Auction

Back in July of this year, I was asked to shoot five cars for a new client because he was showing them at the upcoming Mecum auction in Dallas.
I was really intrigued to see how they put the auction together and how well it runs, so before I knew it, I was buying tickets to spectate.
Here are the 5 cars I shot for the auction:
Mecum Dallas 2023
Hosted at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center downtown selling about 1500 vehicles over four days straight. As someone who’s never been to a professional auction like this, I had NO idea what I was stepping into and I was STOKED!
Their Top 10 over the week:

2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS - $401,500
2005 Ford GT - $374,000

McLaren Speedtail
Something I saw on the marketing was that there was going to be a McLaren Speedtail and since I’ve never seen one in person, I knew that was going to be exciting.
The car is as stunning in person as I thought it would be.
Then, I fell in LOVE.

and then… possibly best for last?
We spotted this millennium jade 2022 T-Spec GT-R and since the color drew us in, I had to know more about what exactly T-Spec meant.
MSRP at $138,490, this T-Spec comes with NISMO’s carbon-ceramic brakes, RAYS 20-inch forged wheels, NISMO-tuned Vehicle Dynamic Control and wider front fenders.
You can get it in this Millennium Jade or…. MIDNIGHT PURPLE.
On top of this… the GT-R was surrounded by a 991 GT2 RS and ‘09 Viper ACR (only 225 miles) - some big hitters this week.
