My second RM Sotheby’s photoshoot included driving out to Waxahachie, Texas with a great friend of mine to shoot four beautiful vehicles.

One of the cars included this first year 1959 Chevrolet El Camino.

This year El Camino was very desirable, mainly due to 1959 being the only year with the teardrop tail lights.

Below includes the write up RM Sotheby’s did on the vehicle:

- Desirable first year of the El Camino
- Older frame-on restoration
- Finished in gorgeous rose metallic paint and matching rose interior
- Powered by a 348 cu. in. V-8 engine
- Rare four-speed manual transmission with Hurst shifter
- Equipped power steering and brakes
- Fitted with with Vintage Air Conditioning and updated sound system
- Rides on American Racing wheels
- One year only teardrop tail lights
- Custom covered bed

The El Camino sold after the auction for an undisclosed amount.
